Confused about recycling?

The City of Santa Cruz is now accepting applications for its first Master Recycler Training program. This six week program (six evening classes and two Saturday field trips) will explore waste prevention, recycling, Zero Waste concepts, Extended Producer Responsibility, household hazardous waste, reuse and repair, green consumer tips and much more. The Saturday field trips offer an up close and behind the scenes look at sorted and baled recyclable material, large and small scale composting systems, and electronic waste management. When: Six Tuesday evening classes: 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays: February 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th and March 6th, 13th. Two Saturday field trips: 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays, February 10th and February 24th. After completing your training you agree to give back 20 hours of volunteer service to put your new skills into practice. This program is offered free of charge.
