Event Description

The Museums and Cultural Arts Commission is happy to announce the beginning of the Colton Hall Evening Music Series. Opening this year’s series is a much-admired Peninsula ensemble Wild Coast Brass Quintet on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Few Memorial Hall. Love is in the air! The Wild Coast Brass Quintet celebrates Valentine’s Day at the Colton Hall Evening Music Series. The program will include some of the group’s favorites and plenty of inspirational love songs. Highlights will be Kevin McKee’s explosive Escape and Arthur Frackenpohl’s Brass Quintet followed by The Trio for Brass by Anthony Plog. Plog’s Trio is an amazing bit of writing for trumpet, horn and trombone that features each instrument in a cadenza - a most intricate, yet satisfying piece of music for three brass. We honor Valentine’s Day with The Water is Wide, the Mouse and the Elephant and the Beatles’ All You Need is Love. Please join us for an amazing evening of music and fun! Seating is limited; reservations are required and can be made by calling 831-646-5640
