Washington, DC – The Food and Drug Administration has lifted its consumer warning on spinach grown in the Salinas Valley -- even though its investigation into the recent E. coli outbreak continues. That means all U.S.-grown spinach is now okay to eat - as long as it's not involved in the FDA's recall, which applied to Natural Selection Foods spinach with best-if-used-by dates from August 17th through October 1st.
But the FDA's endorsement Friday was half-hearted at best. KAZU's Ben Adler reports.
