Pacific Grove, CA – If we lived in Ohio, for instance, or perhaps Florida, maybe this wouldn't be such a big deal. But here in California, a state that hasn't seen a close presidential race in years, we're not all that used to hardball campaign tactics. Well, if you live in Monterey County, it's time to adjust. The battle over the next county General Plan is headed for a June 5th special election, and neither side is pulling any punches. There are TV and radio ads, yard signs, direct mail -- and even what political professionals call voter persuasion calls. KAZU's Rachael McDonald speaks with KAZU's Ben Adler.
