Monterey Bay Area – Every year literally tons of fruits and vegetables would go to waste if it wasn't for gleaning. The group Ag Against Hunger organizes weekly outings into local fields and orchards to save produce that for one reason or another won't be headed to market. It's then passed on to food banks. Their stories have been captured in a project called Gleaning Stories. Radio Producer Rusten Hogness is one of the creators of the Gleaning Stories Project. He shares this gleaning story.
