Healthy Kids program holds up State Budget

Watsonville, CA – Should illegal immigrant children get state-subsidized healthcare? California legislative Democrats think so, and last week, they seemed ready for a budget showdown with state Republicans over Healthy Kids. That's the HMO-style county-level program that offers healthcare coverage to children who might not qualify for other state or other federally-funded programs like Medi-Cal and Healthy Families -- in select counties across the state, including Santa Cruz. KAZU's John Sepulvado reports.
