Monterey, CA – She could be the first ever female speaker of the house a year from now - if Democrats have a stronger-than-expected showing at the polls this November. But first, San Francisco congresswoman Nancy Pelosi will have to lead her party through a political minefield that has not been kind to Democrats in recent years - without the ability, as the minority party, to set the policy agenda.
Pelosi was in Monterey Sunday night for a fundraiser honoring Carmel Congressman Sam Farr for 30 years of public service. She spoke with KAZU's Ben Adler just before the event.
