Paicines, CA – KAZU has learned a tenant grower on Paicines Ranch in San Benito County is under investigation in relation to the recent outbreak of E. coli in spinach. Owner Matt Christiano says his ranch has been visited by government officials searching for the deadly strain of E. coli O157:H7 that has sickened over 200 people and killed three. Those officials have collected samples from pigs, the fields and the San Benito River, which runs through the property. KAZU's John Sepulvado has more on the story.

NOTE: KAZU's report refers to the Paicines Ranch property, not the Paicines Ranch cattle company.
