Storm Info: Road Closures and Power Outages

A powerful storm moving through the Monterey Bay Area has downed trees, flooded roadways and knocked out power throughout the region.

As of 2:00pm Thursday, PG&E reports 7800 customers without power in Santa Cruz and Monterey Counties.  There's no estimate for when power will be restored.  In Pebble Beach, PG&E will wait for the storm to pass before it attempts to restore power.   Falling trees in the Del Monte Forest make it unsafe for PG&E employees to work until then.   PG&E's outage map has the most current outage numbers.

Down trees, power lines and localized flooding has also caused several road closures in Monterey and Santa Cruz Counties.   You can find the most current road closures on websites for Santa Cruz County and Monterey County.
