The Santa Cruz Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly festival celebrating invention and creating. Exploring new forms and new technologies across the spectrum of science, engineering, art and performance – This year’s event will feature interactive experiences with rockets, robots and electric cars. The 12th annual “Summit for the Planet Earth Day Celebration and Eco-Carnival” at Mount Madonna School is a family-friendly event featuring kids’ solar car races, carnival games, face painting, pony rides, live wildlife, tasty foods, live music, a learning expo and trash fashion show. The three-hour event begins at 11:00am Saturday morning. A walk-a-thon among the redwoods will take place earlier in the day.
